3 Reasons why I created Startup Advice
Startup Advice (May 29 2010)
-
As a founder and CEO of a startup, I have been following the blogs of many accomplished and successful entrepreneurs as a channel for advice, best practices and tips. The passive guidance I have received through this content has been of immense value and has shaped how I operate my business and myself.
On the flip side, it hasn't been easy to find the best of the best advice, best practices and tips. So here's why I am creating Startup Advice and here's why it's going to be different than any other site out there:
1. Startup Advice will only have actionable advice: Many startup sites are focused on covering startups financing events, launches, exits or general economic trends. But that information isn't useful for someone in a startup. The only thing that matters to you is advice, guidance and best practices that you can act on. Startup Advice will give you just that.
2. Startup Advice will be relevant: Many of the blogs that I follow have great content, but they are also mixed with irrelevant articles that I have absolutely no immediate interest in. For example, Steve Blank has great content 90% of the time that I care about. But every once in a while there's an article about ejection seats or something that has no relevance to me. Startup Advice will bring you only the most relevant content.
3. Startup Advice will bring it all together: There are many blogs out there with great content that's relevant and actionable. But people in startups are arguably the busiest in the world. They don't have time to track all these sources. Startup Advice will collect everything together so it's the only place that you have to go.
If you find the content on this site valuable, feel free to share with others, sign up for our daily email newsletter, or subscribe to our RSS feeds.
