The Academy of Management (the Academy; AOM) is one of the premire professional associations for scholars dedicated to creating and disseminating knowledge about management and organizations. Founded in 1936 by two professors, the Academy of Management is the oldest and largest scholarly management association in the world. The Academy provides a forum for university management professors and management professionals to present and publish their original research and ideas.
